Q: Who is needed on the client side to work on UX/UI design?

We typically cooperate very closely with the client’s team. Initially we select stakeholders involved in the UX Workshops, and they have different backgrounds. In the ideal world, we work with someone from the sales, marketing, customer service, IT, and business strategy. Workshops require the involvement of senior people who know their business and who can bring insights from the market.

Q: How do we find the proper UI design?

Whereas the UX Design is based on data from analytics and user interviews, the UI design is a matter of individual taste. Therefore, we prepare three different lookbooks to match different styles and find the fit with the brand and its positioning on the market.

Q: How long it takes to design a digital product?

It obviously depends on the kind of a product. However, it should not be done in a cascade manner. Even if we build the UX and Look&Feel before the development starts, this is just for the major Customer Journey, and all corner cases are considered later, during refinements with the development team. Therefore it takes between 2-4 weeks to prepare the design files sufficient for the start of development and continue with the design works throughout the development works.

Q: How much do UX design services cost?

Again, it depends on the project. If the vision is clear enough and we can start building the screens, then we work on a time & material contract with hourly rates depending on the seniority of UX Designers (we don’t hire Junior Designers). If we need to start with the vision first, then we can organize a Design Thinking Workshop based on a fixed-price contract. Schedule a call with our team or the details regarding the pricing.

Product-Market Fit

User Experience Design is the constant quest for finding the proper product-market fit. This is not created in front of a desk but crafted during research and interviews with users. A product without proper validation is just a waste of money and effort. Our Design Thinking Workshop is based on Google Sprints by Jake Knapp, LeanStartup by Eric Ries, and 24 Steps to Entrepreneurship by Bill Aulet, Dean at MIT.

What is a part of UX/UI Design?

Problem statement analysisAlways start with a problem. We need to understand the problem and who is experiencing it the most. Market research should provide the answers to why the existing solutions are failing and how much the users are willing to pay for a better way to solve the problem.

User interviewsOnce the problem is defined, we need to conduct a series of interviews to confirm the problem statement and gain insights, which will be useful in the solution engineering phase. What matters is selecting the interviewees to match the possible target group.

Customer Journey and User Story MappingThe first phase of the prototyping is all about understanding and documenting the processes. It is also important to prioritize between the features so that the final shape of the MVP is created.

Low-Fidelity MockupsSketches and Mockups help visualize the initial idea and confirm the understanding between all stakeholders. They can also help validate some important assumptions with the target audience.

Clickable prototypeThe purpose of building the prototype is to simulate the look and feel of the real application without spending too much on development. This approach allows us to master the design and prepare the prototype for the focus groups with users and decision-makers. This is typically full of animations and transition effects to provide a fully immersive experience.

Design SystemWhereas small startups need to be agile and deliver super-quick MVPs, often sacrificing the long-term quality of the product, in regular enterprise projects, we always start with the Design System. It helps maintain coherence, streamlines communication between designers and developers and shortens the time to market by reusing the components. The true strength of the Design System is shown when additional interfaces are needed.
